After hearing of a friend’s adventure to Oregon to visit a farm stay, I was inspired to add some experiences to our little farm. I have been tossing around the idea of Jam Making Classes, and some of my farmy friends have done the same: Giving Tree Family Farm does goat-milk soap classes, Vicarious Ranch did a fermenting class. SO, I am on a mission to add to the guest experience. Some of my neighbor friends have talent too, and here are some of the things we have come up with.
Experiences We Can Set Up for You…
Hartley Farms Jam Making Class | $95 per station (1-4 people per station) | Barbara Goodrich, owner of Hartley Farms, will teach you how to make your own batch of tasty jam, right here at the farm! Take home (about) four jars (per station) of your own jam creation, and the knowledge to use back at home. Stovetops, jars, lids, fruit, sugar, pectin, recipes… everything you need will be provided.
Yes! Cocktail Making Class | $50 per person (2 person min.) – $35 per person for 5-10 guests or $50 per person for 2-4 guests | The perfect start to your weekend! Yes! Cocktails will bring in everything you need to craft the perfect cocktail from start to finish! Bring your spirits and we’ll take care of the mixers, syrups, ice, bar tools, and garnishes to make you happy hour truly magical. And yes, we’ll clean up the mess. Choose from: Spirit Focused, or Flavor Focused.
Roping Class | $50 per person Meet Cody Mora of Mora Performance Horses and winner of multiple PRCA and CCPRA rodeos. Cody will teach you the fundamentals and skill of roping! He will bring out the professional ropes, and some standing targets to start. You can’t come to Cowboy Country and NOT know how to rope when you leave! Minimum 2 people.
Private Wine Tasting with the Winemaker | $25 per person Our chef will prepare a cheese platter to accompany a private wine tasting with Winemaker Leon Tackitt of Tackitt Family Wines. Up to five wines to taste – or buy a bottle to enjoy! Minimum 2 people.
Experiences You Can Set Up…
Massage | $60-75 per person
Massage Therapist, Clare, might be just what the doctor ordered. She brings all her own equipment – you tell her where you want to set up. A massage with these views?! Yes, please!

Private Chef for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner | $25-50 per person The Prancing Chef will customize a menu and cook on-site for one meal, or the entire weekend! His wide variety of food and desserts will make your mouth water, the cost of food is probably what you would spend running around trying to buy all the ingredients. Relax and enjoy your weekend! Let us take care of the meal planning and clean up.
